Dr. Burton has undergone specific training to help patients who suffer from sleep apnea and snoring. Oral appliance therapy can be a convenient alternative to CPAP for patients with mild-moderate OSA or those who cannot tolerate CPAP.
Focused Exam & Health History
Each patient will undergo an evaluation which includes a focused exam and comprehensive health history to guide the best treatment path. Patients without any formal medical evaluation or sleep test who are at risk for a possible sleep related breathing disorder may be referred before treatment can begin.
Coordinated Referral Process
We work work closely with primary care providers, sleep specialists, and other physicians to ensure a seamless coordination of care. A prescription, evaluation and diagnosis from a medical doctor is a necessary step in the treatment process.
Covered By Insurance
Oral Appliance Therapy for patients diagnosed with OSA is covered by medical insurance under the durable medical equipment (DME) benefit, similar to CPAP therapy. Unlike other dentists, Dr. Burton takes most insurance plans, minimizing out of pocket costs.
